Meet Shameera

 Hi, I’m Shameera.

A little bit about me and my approach - I’m a mental health occupational therapist and have been lucky enough to be working in this area for over 15 years.

In that time, I’ve trained in multiple evidence based modalities giving me a broad ‘toolkit’, allowing me to tailor interventions to work with an individual’s specific needs.

I am trauma informed and have found solution focused, somatic (body based) and sensory supportive approaches particularly meaningful.  I’ve worked across the spectrum of health and wellbeing and I’m particularly drawn to work in the promotion and early intervention area.

Throughout my career I’ve had the opportunity to work in government and community organisations, working individually, as well as facilitating inpatient and community groups and providing practice supervision.

I really value and appreciate the power of stories and storytelling.

Outside of work, I love to be in nature and am trying (!) to centre clay.

If you’d like to chat and see if I might be the right ‘fit’ for you, please get in touch for a free 15 minute intro call.
